Renovation of Underground Garage Erwin-Vetter-Platz, Ettlingen

The Erwin-Vetter-Platz two storey underground car park offers the largest number of parking spaces in Ettlingen city centre. The two levels are located beneath a market place, a shopping centre and partly below a mix of other surrounding buildings.
Chloride ingress and carbonation damage necessitated extensive repairs, which included new coverings to the concrete slabs/floors, in areas that were too thin or damaged.
In addition, the building services equipment were upgraded and a new ticketless management system, electric vehicle charging points and secure bicycle storage facilities were added. Finally, the width of the car park was increased, and orientation within the car park was significantly improved using a colour scheme and parking guidance system.
